Dry needling uses acupuncture needles, but unlike traditional Chinese acupuncture, dry needling employs a western medical understanding of the body.  Dry needling is particularly effective for pain management, injury recovery and tissue healing.  Dr. Tesoro often combines dry needling with other modalities to speed up the recovery time and get you back to your activities sooner.

Originally trained in Chinese acupuncture, Dr. Tesoro realized that dry needle technique offered him a more direct means for treating musculo-skeletal issues and began studying the technique before the therapy even had a name!  He trained under Dr. Yuan-tao Ma, one of the pioneers the of the practice and a leading authority on Dry Needle Technique, and has subsequently worked with Dr. Ivo Waerlop, both studying and assisting in teaching dry needling courses for other practitioners.
